Amy offers various types of stimulating activities for people with dementia and cognitive impairment.


Amy can provide Cognitive Stimulation Therapy in various formats (to groups and individuals). As a qualified exercise referral specialist Amy also provides physical activity sessions for both the person living with a health condition and for those that support them.

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy is currently the only evidence-based non-drug treatment recommended for people with mild to moderate dementia, by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). It was originally designed in the UK by Prof. Aimee Spector and fellow experts having undergone various evaluations and once it had established a reliable evidence base.

Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)

CST has been developed in the UK and is a group therapy designed for people with mild to moderate dementia.


The aim is to promote stimulating activities which also draw on the positive social benefits of being in a group. The CST programme is delivered through a programme of 14 sessions scheduled twice weekly.

How much time do I need: 2 x 60 minutes sessions each week for 7-weeks.

Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (iCST)

iCST has been developed in the UK and is similar to CST in terms of the prinicples followed throughout each session.  The aim is to promote meaningful activities with purpose.


The importance of quality moments of life is something I am dedicated to promoting and iCST offers a large variety of activities which are enjoyable, relaxing, stimulating and empowering.


I understand that it is not always easy to think of things to do to help you or your loved one find enjoyment and stimulation through activities, but iCST provides over 75 activity sessions! Which means you're covered every week of the year!

Ideally we will have three sessions together each week lasting approximately 30 minutes. It may be that you only want one session delivered by me and wish to be trained to deliver the remaining ones yourself?

How much time do I need: 3 x 30 minute sessions each week.

Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST)

We certainly like to share space, enjoy connection and promote community in our friendly and welcoming group classes.


Perhaps you have finished your course of CST and now that you have experienced the beneifts and are aware of the importance of maintaining your cognitive health.


Maintenance CST is a longer-term treatment which you can take part in for as long as you want. The sessions are adapted for each programme to avoid boredom.  This is run through two programmes each of a 24-week period.

How much time do I need: 1 x 60 minutes session each week for 24-weeks.

Movements to Assist Daily Living 

Specialising in everyday movement these classes are designed to promote mental and physical health. The aim of these classes is to encourage the release of endorphins and promote physical movements that build strength and energy and support everyday life.


This functional approach to fitness focuses on balance, core strength, endurance and flexibility, and very importantly, it allows for compassionate movement of the body which not only yields great outcomes for those that take part, but they really enjoy themselves too.

How much time do I need: 60 minute class time.

Workshops for carers

Take it easy

With a strong focus on nourishing the mind, body and soul we have created a workshop which allows us to explore breathing exercises, learn relaxation techniques and how to apply these skills to everyday life. 

By mindfully focusing on breathwork, you will practice complete relaxation by remaining in asanas (postures/positions) for an extended period. This relaxation calms the nervous and autonomic nervous system, revives our energy stores and supports us letting go of whatever mental, emotional or physical aspects of our lives that our weighting us down.


People who have suffered with depression, insomnia, anxiety and fatigue have reported improvements in their symptoms following practice. 

How much time do I need: 3 hours including refreshments and snacks.

Spring (March, April, May), Summer (June, July, August), Autumn (September, October, November), Winter (December, January, February).

If you are not able to start at a beginning of a seasonal package, please don’t worry, it will flow over into the following season.
